    The blackboard chart shows 3 pf and 3 sc, unless they are combining the berries and orange as 1 sc. Is that one of the differences? 3 sc. If so must be a different daily calorie average goal.

    Default 7 Years Younger and Alcohol

    Interesting tidbit from the 7YY book:

    Is it OK to Have a Drink on the Plan?

    If you like to have a glass of wine with dinner or relax with a beer once in a while, we have great news: There's a place for alcohol in a healthful weight loss diet, this one included - as long as you drop one of your daily snacks to make up for the drink's added calories.

    It goes on to say the benefits of alcohol max out at one drink per day, "so keep your intake moderate."

    I am absolutely salivating over the recipe for Chicken Bruschetta. If I wasn't so lazy, I would run to the store to purchase the ingredients!

    Wear shorter shoes! I am stubby. And that's good angle. Just a lot of crows feet; I can make that work.

    I actually counted 4 PF (skim milk, Greek yogurt, Hard boiled egg, string cheese) and 3 SC (Roll, berries, orange) plus entrees and veggies as usual. I'll be interested to see how the plan reads too!

    What a terrible change to the program. Since when does alcohol substitute for nutritional food?

    It's impossible to tell the differences until the full 7YY.NS plan and parameters are announced. The 7YY diet uses the following daily servings:

    * Dairy: 2-3 servings
    * Fruits: 2-5 servings
    * Protein: 5-7 ounces from animal sources or equivalent protein amounts from other sources (nuts, beans, seeds and soy).
    * Veggies: 3-6 servings
    * Whole Grains: 3-5 servings

    I'm interested to see how the two plans are incorporated. It's no secret I love the Nutrisystem diet, and my initial review of the 7YY diet is two thumbs up.

    FUN TIMES!

    It also shows 4 "PowerFuels". The other interesting thing is that it pairs a fruit with a dairy/protein serving, which is how it was on the Advanced program. Many nutritionists still recommend that fruit/carbs should be eaten with dairy/protein to control spikes in your blood sugar.

    I wonder if the program will utilize the SmartCarb and PowerFuel monikers and caloric guidelines or revert back to "plain english" and call proteins, dairy, fruits and carbs by their proper names and not the marketing gimmicky stuff. I suspect the latter. If so, it would be most in line with Advanced and the calorie/nutritional guidelines for the add-ins would be different. For example, a Fruit serving was approx 60 cals as opposed to a SC that averages 80 - 120 calories.

    That may not make it into the NS plan. I think Kristi is just hopeful.

    We'll know details when NS announces and until then it's all speculation.

    Holy, jumping to conclusions, Batman!

    This is NOT a change to the Nutrisystem plan.

    Bahahaha ... I'm hopeful that French Fries make it into the 7YY.NS plan.

    So true! The speculation and worry about a new plan are crazy! It's merely a partnership between two great companies.

    For a few bucks, they send you a revised birth certificate.
