    Default Beets

    Hi,

Being a fairly picky eater, I don't have many selections in the vegetables that are enjoyable. So, the question is, for the beets selection, are pickled beets OK? I can eat pickled beets 'til the come out my ears, but the regular ones are simply tolerable (usually). The ad for Del Monte Pickled Beets says 80 calories for 1/2 cup. Is that in line with the diet?

    Hi Dave,

1/2 cup of these beets can be used as two vegetable servings. They are a little bit higher in calories than other vegetables and they do contain sodium but since you are a picky vegetable eater, this would be fine to have.

    Hi,

Outstanding! Thanks - I was really sweatting the veggies - I mostly hate 'em, which is 1 of the reasons I'm too heavy, I know. But beets, pickled - can't get enough!!!

    Thanks again.

    Dave
